Profit is the primary aim of any business but it need not be its sole reason for being to the exclusion of altruistic endeavors. Our company believes in sharing what it can with the less fortunate, especially if in doing so, we can help them become productive citizens able to contribute to the betterment of the Philippines society and the national economy as a whole.
Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino maintained its long-standing social programs, working hand in hand with civic organizations such as the Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Charitable Foundation whose project Operation Smile provides reconstructive facial surgery to indigent children and young adults. A special long time partner is the Kapwa ko Mahal Ko Foundation which was formed by group of media people as a public service program for under privileged, cancer-stricken children seeking medical attention. Every year Watefront Cebu City Hotel and Casino hosts a Christmas Party for the children under the care of KKMK.
A case in point is the pet civic project of Manila Pavilion Hotel, MANILA PAVILION CARES, or MPCARES, which is geared toward aiding and training the underprivileged particularly the youth. Founded in 2000, MPCARES initially adopted three charity institutions as its regular beneficiaries: BAseco Elementary School, Kanlungan sa Ermita, Malate Ministry, and Senden Home for the Boys and provides them with monetary, educational, medicinal and livelihood support.
A noteworthy partnership was also initiated by Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao with Operation Smile, an international non-profit organization which sends out missions for social reconstruction surgery of children and adults with cleft palates and other facial deformities. From this, the company formalizes its commitment to the goals of the organization by providing a strategic space for Operation Smile donation boxes in its Hotels.
